For obvious reasons this video has gotten almost 1.5 M views on My YouTube Channel. Although I have been able to get very close to rattlesnakes to the point where I feel comfortable enough to pet them, I recommend everyone to keep your eyes open while hiking. You never know how they are going to react! I have to add that I was never in any immediate danger since I wasn't holding the camera with my hand and the camera wasn't at a striking distance! "Western diamondbacks are pit vipers. This means that they have a heat sensing pit (loreal pit) located behind each nostril that can detect differences in temperature, sometimes differences that are only a fraction of a degree apart. The heat given off by an animal is detected by the snake helping it to determine predator from prey." #westerndiamonbackrattlesnake #weroamarizona #koldnews13 #arizona_hiking #arizona_landscapes #arizonahiking #azwildlife #azstateparks #capturearizona #oh_arizona #arizonahighways #canon_photos #igsouthwest #ig_southwest #tucson #igers_tucson #visittucson #photooftheday #conquerarizona  #fox10phoenix #beon12  #explorearizona_ #see_arizona #abc15 #iamazproud #divine_deserts #exploring_arizona #whyilovewhereilive #westbysouthwest #tucsonnewsnow
