Week 8 and Days 49 and 50 of #100hexies100days2019 . I’ve got a pack of mini charm squares called Grand Canal by Kate Spain for Moda. Some lovely soft colours in this pack and just right for hexies. #epp
Change of direction for my oldest WIP whilst on my hols. Others stitchy bits I'm playing with but not ready to show you those yet. Originally these hexi flowers were surrounded by white hexis, but I inadvertently used lots of different shades of white solids and it just looked wrong and frankly I was bored! So I've decided to applique each flower onto a blue/aqua background square. I've 9 sets each of these 4 flowers so it'll be a 6x6 square smallish 45inch lap quilt. Mix of fabrics: @tulapink 'Chipper'; @kaffefassettstudio various including my no.1 fave print 'paperweight'; ...
I finished my cushion last night. Thanks to @erickaeckles for the inspiration and @recraftglasgow for the brilliant fabric scraps that gave me the cutest gnome ever to appear on a patchwork cushion. Can you spot him? Apart from the 50p I spent at recraft this cushion was made entirely from scraps I already had #patchwork#sewersofinstagram

I’ve basically fallen off of IG, thanks to my small bundle of joy. I’m focusing on being present and trying to enjoy the chaos that inherently comes with 4 children. I’m finally feeling a bit more put together, and almost ready to start tackling everyday life again. 😆 It helps that school starts this week, so I can feel like I have ...

Want to know how I get all those papers out after I’ve pieced the quilt together? Watch this! 🌟Very important tip I forgot to mention 🌟 Be careful not to cut all the way through to your fabric top if you use a seam ripper to pierce your paper pieces! If not, you’ll be so sad. Trust me, I’ve done it. 😥 Hope you’re all having a blessed Sunday.
