I spent my whole day making this for my boyfriend because he was in a bad mood. He likes the woods, and specifically Mt Rainier so I drew this off a picture I took this weekend when I was off the grid. This took almost seven hours to make. And usually my art takes just about an hour so I really like him. Hahaha. I mostly did it digitally Because I left my paper at home. I am still getting the hang of clouds. * * * #autodesksketchbookpro#autodesksketchbookdrawing ...
Warm summer nights on Rainier — like standing in a dream. As rain and fall weather begin to settle into the Northwest, I can’t help but miss sun falling over the summer mountain.. . . . . #hike#hikewashington
Puget Sound Panorama, taken from the Kingston-Edmonds ferry. We were coming home from a trip to the North Cascades National Park in the late afternoon and the clouds looked really cool. Mt. Rainier can be seen in the lower right. . . #canon#canon70d
Gorgeous and rainy hiking weekend with the amazing @bcmuir! Indian Henry’s Hunting Ground on Saturday and Granite Lake on Sunday. 25 miles and 5,500 ft gained. All in all, a good weekend :) #mtrainier#snoqualmiepass
Sometimes the view is worth the wait. Swipe to see what’s really behind the cloud! ☺️ On this rainy day (day 6) on the Wonderland Trail, I decided to wait an hour at Emerald Ridge wishing for the clouds to break apart, and they did! While it set me back in terms of timing on my longest day on the trail (19 miles... 😓), I’m still glad I waited. Who knows if or when I’d be back again. Days 5 and 6 now on the blog: http://thepurpleninja.net/index.php/2019/09/21/wonderland-trail-mount-rainier-klapatche-park-emerald-ridge-cougar-rock/ http://thepurpleninja.net/index.php/2019/09/22/wonderland-trail-mount-rainier-cougar-rock-nickel-creek/
