We’re down to the wire now for Milky Way season!!! We’re now only getting about 3hrs of MW before it sets in the West. Thankfully I got a chance to sneak in this session on Saturday with my mate @brando_absoluteimagery. It looks like I have a few nights in a row coming up where I have a chance to squeeze some more MW in, so it’s going to be a tired week for me. But hey.....gotta get it done as the MW won’t return until late Feb-March 2020.
• • • • • • Guten Morgen and good morning to all astrofans around the globe! We are Flo and Simon from Germany, together we run @galacticdudes here on Instagram with our personal pictures of the universe and we are more than honored to be chosen to take over @universetoday 's Instagram account today. We started astrophotography one year ago with a second-hand 8" Newtonian refractor, an Orion EQ-G and a DSLR mounted to it and pretty much no idea what we could expect from this setup and this hobby in general. All in all, we were blown ...
What is Heaven ? Heaven is when you can lie down in your tent, looking at the clear stars with no light and noise pollution. A perfect dark sky where your imagination can transport you to intergalactic searches and discoveries. For someone who loves stars and science fiction, this was a dream come true. Every night, my mind embarked on the Star Trek Enterprise expedition, going boldly where no man has gone before! . #arizona#usa . ...

This photo was taken when I completed a Nigel Wilson Photo Course while living in London. The light trails in the foreground of the image are from a double decker bus and the timing for this shot was perfect as the light trail from the bus doesn't take away from seeing the iconic Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. ⠀ ⠀ @longexpolite @raw_longexposure @nightphotography @nikonaustralia @nigelsphotocourses #nigelphotocourses#london

Astronomy Picture of The Day publicado y analizado HOY por la NASA. Súper emocionado y aún incrédulo por este gran reconocimiento internacional que paga todas las noches pasadas bajo el frío junto a mi frontal y mi cámara. Link in Bio . . . . . #astrofotoandes#apod
Hello again from the @galacticdudes ! Right as you view this picture, you are looking 34 million light-years into the past, because this is the distance between the galaxy on the left - the so called hamburger galaxy - and our earth. The whole bunch of galaxies is called the Leo Triplet and even though they seem to lay in a plain, the galaxy in the top right corner is 5 million light-years closer to the earth. All in all, we exposed our sensor about 1,5 hours at ISO 1600 to some inconspicuous area in the constellation Leo, ...
