Day for day 2 years ago, I decided to tackle my first ever solo hike. It was a 20km trail from which I wanted to climb straight up trough the infamous "Trap Dyke" a vertical class 4 free climbing rock face. It spread on about 1km from which you need to climb almost 2000ft. I'm no professional athlete, but I've managed to shed my time from 5h20 to 4h59 to do the whole trail. Who said that you can't get better with age ? 😅

The lady stood and stared out into the distance for about 20 minutes or so, not moving, no weaving, no looking around, just standing, still, looking. I enjoyed the way she experienced the peace of it all. Afterwards I approached her to show her some of the images, she didn't really care, i liked that. I looked into her eyes, elderly lady, soft, tired but thankful eyes, she experienced something. In that moment she connected with something far greater than herself. With moments like these worlds are moved and hearts are opened. The stories she could tell, years of joy, ...
There where you alone cannot go any further. At absolutely no risk of stating the obvious... a couple of geezers enjoying the sunset. There are a couple variations of this shot which i will share a little later...
